"orbital ascent" special edition

Studio Michael Najjar launches a special edition of the artwork “orbital ascent“. The work was the key visual of the CIVILIZATION exhibition at the London Saatchi Gallery this summer, visited by more than 50,000 people. The artwork pictures a spectacular rocket launch at the Guiana Space Centre, the European spaceport near Kourou in French Guiana. The spaceport is a high-tech facility surrounded by the Amazonian forest which creates not only a stirringly surrealistic setting, but can also serve as a metaphor for the strong and vital relationship between space exploration and planet Earth itself.

The artwork "orbital ascent" has been exhibited at various museums around the world, including Saatchi Gallery, London; Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tamaki, Auckland; National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne; Ullens Center for Contemporary Art, Beijing; National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul;
