Exhibition "A Constant State of Transformation", Melbourne
From tomorrow on Michael Najjar works will be on view in Australia. The exhibition "A Constant State of Transformation" focuses on the relationship between humans, nature and the potential for transformation. It is part of this years PHOTO 2024 festival under the theme "The Future is Shaped by Those Who Can See it". The Festival is presented by the Museum of Australian Photography, Melbourne.
Michael Najjar shows several photo and video works from his ongoing series "cool earth". In this series, he explores the far-reaching ecological, economic and cultural impacts of climate change which are leading to a redefinition of the relationship between humans and nature. "cool earth" spans the arc from an impending dystopian future – which has already arrived in our present – to a technology-based decarbonised post-fossil world. The exhibition in Melbourne features several new artworks presented for the first time to the public. The exhibition also features works by Xiao Hui Wang and Leela Schauble.
