The work “silver arrow” is based on a photograph taken from the rear chassis of the McLaren Mercedes racecar. The unusual select perspective elevates this functional technical part to the form of aesthetic sculptural object. This new visualization also articulates the enormous complexity of a form engineered, molded and manufactured with cutting-edge computer technology and high-tech material, revealing the beauty, fragility and technical perfection of a component that would be unthinkable without advanced digital technology. “silver arrow” is the embodiment of the complex data structures used in racecars to maximize speed by minimizing wind resistance. At the end of the race we are left with pure data, denoted in milliseconds.
